It Does Just Happen

It’s a funny thing when you join the over 50’s club, and by the way I have been a member for a few years now, but I find myself reflecting back on dreams and wishes made in an earlier time.

With the inevitable passing of time it is appearing to me, to become much more of an interesting and relaxed process. You still dream and plan for exciting outcomes in the future, though now with a quiet knowing, born of the wisdom of experience, hindsight and reflection. You become aware that there is every chance, your wishes and dreams will come true.

With everyone talking about the ‘Law of Attraction,” “Focus on desires more than your Fears,” ‘The Secret” and the like,  it does seem apparent to me now, that if your dreams and aspirations are in harmony with a “greater good” then in fact…. it does just happen.

I can recall dreaming of a day when we could have Pat and Linda present at a venues where not only were there thousands of people, but there were lights, cameras, production teams, all there to help enhance and amplify the Parelli’s natural philosophy.

All those years ago on tour with the Parelli Circus, when we would drive through the night to get to the next country town in Australia or the US, we would keep ourselves awake by imagining being able to broadcast an arena event to the whole world.

Fast forward to today and with a pause in our busy schedule, I can reflect on the last 7 weeks and see that in fact we have just lived those dreams. At Equitana in Essen, Germany, and 2 weeks ago at an unbelievable event at the NEC in the UK.

And as I write, our entire Parelli Media team are excitedly preparing to head to Texas, to bring to students across the world, the opportunity to see horse training at its best … “Pat Parelli Presents Colt Starting Naturally.”

You see it does just happen!

See you at Fort Worth or via the magic of the internet…I will be the middle aged guy with a big smile on his face, do come up and say hello, or drop me a line on Parelli Connect, and of course…… keep on dreaming.

Hello Parelli I live in northern Ontario and would be blown away if Parelli came to Ontario even London. I did see a tour in Detroit and haven’t forgotten the magic and thrill of it all. Thankyou Parelli for opening my eyes. Hope to see you in Ontario.

Hi Neil, reading your post warmed my heart, and gave me heart. Your contributions to the team in recent years have had a huge impact, thank you so much.
I’ve been dreaming too! Since I moved away from my horse last August, I’ve been studying and planning for the two months I will have with her this summer in the US, and here’s what my dreams have led me to hope for this year, it’s sort of my own idea of a personal PNH immersion course: 1)Went to Birmingham in April; 2)Got my Humanality/Horsenality Match report in May; 3)Rented the Colt Starting event on line (haven’t watched it just yet); 4)Getting back to Ginger June 20; 5)Auditing Linda’s class on the Game of Contact in July; 6)More time with Ginger; 7)Weekend in Reno to see Pat’s Wild Horse event; 8)More Ginger. 3-Star instructor Susan Nelson is overseeing my plan and answering questions directly, as I always have lots of those. I know it all sounds crazy, but I need to focus and make the most of the time I have with Ginger. With the official Parelli events I have interspersed between times with her, I will have inspiration and the time to reflect upon and absorb the lessons Ginger teaches me when we’re together. With this ambitious plan, I’m going to not let the rest of my life pull me away, and I just know I’ll have fantastic results. Hearing about your dreams coming true is inspirational! Rock on, Neil!

‘The good,’ Neil, came way back when at 47, it was just me and pony Taffy. Via daughter and an incredible husband, discovered Parelli in the U.K. However that was then, now 8 children and 3 of their parents, along with more eager to experience ‘horsemanship the natural Parelliway’, we share 6 extra rescues who never knew life could feel so good! ‘The greater good ‘ is happening. dreams and wishes of an earlier time, are becoming future reality and all because of Pat, Linda and dare i say you Neil, one of ‘the horse powered engines’ in the Parelli team.

Yes, at the end all will line up just perfectly… and meanwhile we learn and try to stay in in the moment – and hopefully enjoy the journey.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts, Neil, and to the whole team for making the dream come true!

Great thoughts Neil… so inspiring. As I recover from a challenging and exhausting trip to Illinois and rejoice in adding a new partner to my journey, I read your post and think – yes, I can still do it and keep my dream alive, it’s just a matter of passive persistence in the proper position, and of course, huge amounts of heart and desire! Let’s keep the fire alive!

Neil,
my dreams with horses continue to come true, thanks entirely to the Parelli Program. Drayton Boyleston, (a philosopher and Life Coach) advises to “say ten ten things you’re grateful for every morning before you get out of bed.” The Parelli Program is always in my top ten!
Thanks for allowing me to dream big (without feeling foolish) and giving me the attitude, tools and knowledge to help make those dreams a reality.
Gratefully yours,
Nancy DeSisto

You may think I’m a dreamer but I’m not the only one…..
Everyday with Parelli we live our lives true to this song, true to our dreams and all connected through the invisible cyber spider web!
I hope some days you’ll join us and the world will live at one!

Thanks for being a dreamer of big dreams, Neil!

I joined the over 50′s club awhile ago, Neil. I’ve had close friends tell me if you can’t get on your horse from the ground it’s time to quit. Never say never, there is always a way to go forward in our journeys and dreams, I tell them. Pat Parelli had a dream and is living it today! And, with all the modern technology we have Pat is reaching out to the whole world in his quest to make a better world for horses and humans. What a concept!

Hi. As every thing has two sides, the dreaming and the reality, let’s talk about reality. Anouncing a three days course with Linda in Switzerland, the fee will be for spactators 750.- USD! Comparing with my professional education as dentist, no course has been as expensive including international academic celebrities speaking among others. Is this the the right way to bring new aspects of horsemanship to young people, which have especially the potential to help spreading new ideas and Parelli philosophy in to the wold of horses? I miss some SAVVY in this matter.
With kind regards Thomas.

Hi Thomas
I can see why there is some price surprise here…what I am not sure you are aware of is that we are presenting the Game of Contact in different continents with proceeds going to the recently created Fund. This way there is of course the education component ,but also participants realise that their fee is going to a great cause….apologies if this was not made clear in the recent announcement of the Swiss clinic.

Oh Neil how true how true how true – me too have joined the 50 club and this year will be joining the 60 club I watched the Live Parelli Celebrations 2009 and dreamed my pony would stand on the pedastal and my relationship would be so that she would want to be with me as I was her favourite and safe haven well that was a year ago and WOW it has happened along with other things that I did not believe would be possible, I cannot express my thanks to Pat and Linda for sharing this incredible programme enough words fail me so all I can say is Thank you Thank You Thank You – I live on the Isle of Wight in the UK and there is just myself and my buddie Janie who are with the Parelli programme and it certainly for me has been my dream.
