Producer’s Pick – A Look Back at Lexington

Here are some highlights from our Horse & Soul Tour stop in Lexington, VA this past weekend!

We had Linda Parelli and Hot Jazz at his first ‘official’ tour event – he did get a little tight and tense (as one would expect from a Right-Brain Introvert), so what did Linda do? Take the time it takes and show a little (or a lot of) patience. Jazzie lived up to his name and Linda shared her passion and love for the Parelli program and horses!

The Trailer Loading session displayed Pat’s incredible depth of knowledge, horsemanship skills and the techniques he has developed over the past 40 years – making him a true master of his craft. He had not seen or played with this non-Parelli-trained horse before; however, it was clear that ‘this stuff works.’ Just like magic – remember, it is not about the trailer.

We witnessed beautiful presentations from Kalley Krickeberg with her mare JJ and foal Rita… inspiring, graceful and visible proof of the power of love, language and leadership. Lillan Roquet and Andiamo delighted us; they were a picture of harmony and synchronicity that every horse owner young or old aspires to. Emily Thompson and Porche wowed us with graceful flying changes and it was a very special weekend for Emily, as her grandmother and family were in the audience!

Finally, the teamwork was outstanding! From our Road Crew to our Volunteers, Ambassadors, Instructors, Sponsors and the great venue team at the Virginia Horse Center – thank you to everyone for your dedicated energy and contributions, from set up on Thursday to tear-down on Sunday night. What an exciting start to 2012 for the Parelli community! Looking forward to seeing you in Conyers!

I would love to get a copy of the poem that was read at Lexington, VA on Sunday and the name of the farm. It was GREAT!

It was a fantastic weekend! The first time I had ever volunteered at an event. Lots of hard work, but also lots of great time with so many other wonderful people. It was exciting having the first tour stop be in Virginia!
