As our first Horse & Soul 2012 event is only days away, and we move towards the future, I’d like to take a moment to look over my shoulder!

Linda Parelli headlines our show this year; she’s an amazingly intelligent and dedicated woman, a role model and leader in the world of natural horsemanship. My mind goes back to November 1994, at an Instructor Course in Braidwood, NSW, Australia – the vision of Linda and Regalo building their relationship in leaps and bounds. Regalo, a “full speed ahead!” off-the-track sorrel (chestnut) gelding. He was such a challenge that Linda, a dressage rider at the time, went to a clinic with a cowboy! Not the typical thing to do. Both Linda & Regalo are special souls – check out this snippet filmed during that course.

Our talented emcee, Mr. Neil Pye, was also an instructor in Braidwood; he and his Palomino, Ed, made the most of this exciting time studying with Pat Parelli. In 1995, Neil became one of the first Course Instructors for Parelli, and traveled the world offering clinics and courses, spreading his passion & knowledge of the Parelli Program. He is now Media Director and is very much hands-on in overseeing new educational products, with Game of Contact, Trail Riding & Colt Starting being the most recent. Check out Neil & Ed in 1994.

He uses heart, soul & passion to share the message of Love, Language & Leadership with everyone he meets.

Talented individuals and horses with a whole lotta soul!

Thanks for this. I’ve always wanted to see the “infamous” Regalo.
Hooray that he found his way to Linda, and she therefore found her way to Pat.

That was great. I love seeing people and what they were like in the “olden” days. Now I understand more of what makes them so good!
