Bio of Cryshtal Avera
|
My name is Cryshtal Avera and I am currently a 1 Star Junior Instructor living in Hawaii. I was around horses a bit while growing up, but never heavily involved. I entered the U.S. Air Force right out of high school and thought I’d be a “lifer”. Life had other plans, but I found myself in training and management positions consistently while serviing in the military and realized I very much enjoyed empowering people. After separating from the Air Force I worked as a Real Estate agent, briefly then decided to start my own business in 2006. I have been through trials and tribulations with this business that have been such huge gifts in preparing me for so many challenges in life. Hiring and firing, a law suit, marketing, profit analysis and being responsible for every aspect of whether a business succeeds has really provide opportunities to learn and grow. I have become clear finally that I so enjoy creating systems and teaching. I began taking Dressage lessons when I was 23 and was introduced to Parelli soon after. I was share boarding at that time and when I purchased my horse I realized how much I didn’t know. I have been committed to the Parelli program as part of my journey since 2007 when my horse decided she’d rather kill me than have me ride her. I knew I had to fix me and become the human she deserved or give her up. I fully committed to finding ways to get to the source as well as coaching from instructors however I could, and have never looked back. I attended a Fast Track course in 2010, then the 1 Star instructor course and am re-remembering how much I love to help people! I plan to enter the Externship Program in June 2012 and continue to pursue the mastery program as I keep myself open to what is in store for me. The Parelli Program provides me with tools and empowerment to continually grow as a human being and I am finding such joy in sharing it with others. I look forward to allowing the specifics to be revealed as I continue to pursue this amazing dream. |
